# Overview

> Meet Hudson, Converge's AI media buyer: it answers questions about your ads, drafts changes for you to approve, and runs recurring work for you.

You work with Hudson in Converge, under **Agentic media buying** in the sidebar, or [in Slack](https://docs.runconverge.com/agentic-media-buying/hudson-in-slack.md).

> [!NOTE]
>
> Hudson is rolling out workspace by workspace. If your workspace doesn't have
> it yet, ask your Converge contact.

## What Hudson does

* **Answers questions.** Ask about performance in plain language, like *"Which ad sets pushed CPA up since Monday?"* Hudson looks up the numbers in Converge and your ad platforms.
* **Drafts plans.** Ask Hudson to optimize, and it proposes changes to your ads in a [plan](#plans).
* **Runs loops.** A loop is work Hudson does on a schedule or when you run it, like a weekly creative review. Each run can post a summary to a Slack channel or by email.
* **Writes reports and exports.** Hudson writes HTML reports and CSV exports, which you can open from the chat.
* **Learns how you buy.** On **Training**, Hudson asks how you run your accounts, and your answers shape its next plans.

## Plans

A plan is a set of changes Hudson proposes for your ads, like pausing an ad set, raising a budget, or duplicating a winning ad. Each change comes with Hudson's reasoning and the numbers behind it.

**Nothing changes in your ad account until you approve it.** Review each change, keep the ones you want, and apply them. Hudson applies them through your own [connected Meta account](https://docs.runconverge.com/settings/connected-accounts.md), so your Meta permissions still apply and Ads Manager shows the changes as made by you. Plans change Meta ads only for now.

The one exception is autopilot. When you turn it on for a loop, that loop applies its own plans without review, through the Meta account of the person who turned it on.

## Who can use Hudson

Admins, editors, and analysts can chat with Hudson, create loops, and apply plans with their own connected Meta account. Viewers can't chat with Hudson or apply plans. See [roles](https://docs.runconverge.com/settings/roles.md) for everything else each role can do.

## Usage and credits

Each workspace has a monthly credit limit for Hudson. **Settings → Agent usage** shows how much you've used and when usage resets. When you reach the limit, Hudson pauses until usage resets or your Converge contact raises the limit.

## Your data

Hudson runs on Anthropic's Claude models. See [data subprocessors](https://docs.runconverge.com/legal/subprocessors.md) for every provider that processes your data.
