# Connected accounts

> Connect your personal Meta login so Converge can apply ad changes for you

Connected accounts are your personal logins that Converge uses when it acts on your behalf in an ad platform. You need one to apply Hudson's plans and to edit Meta ads from Converge. Today, connected accounts support Meta.

A connected account is personal: only you can use it, even though you connect it inside a workspace. It's separate from a [marketing source](https://docs.runconverge.com/ad-platforms/overview.md), which only reads spend and performance data. Converge uses your connection for changes you approve, such as a Hudson plan you apply or an ad you edit, and for any Autopilot you turn on.

Admins and editors can add connected accounts.

## Connect your Meta account

1. Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar and select **Settings**.
2. Under **Personal**, select **Connected accounts**.
3. Click **Add connection**.

4. Review what Converge asks Meta for, then click **Continue with Meta** and sign in. Converge asks to:
   * Read campaign performance for the ad accounts you grant access to.
   * Update budgets, bids, and statuses when it applies changes for you.
   * Read your ad account list, so you can choose which accounts Converge can manage.
5. In **Authorize ad accounts**, select the ad accounts Converge can manage and click **Connect** (the button shows how many accounts you picked, for example **Connect 2 accounts**). You can also click **Skip for now** and choose them later.

You can connect Meta more than once, for example with different identities for different ad accounts.

## Change the ad accounts Converge can manage

1. Open **Settings** > **Connected accounts** and click the connection.
2. In **Authorized ad accounts**, click **Edit selection** (or **Choose accounts** if none are selected yet) and select the ad accounts.

## Change routing

Routing sets the region your changes to Meta are sent from. Open the connection and pick an option under **Change routing**: **Default (United States)**, **United States**, or **Europe**. **Default** follows Converge's default region, which is currently the United States.

## Reconnect or disconnect

When Meta asks you to sign in again, Converge pauses the connection and shows **This connection is paused**. Click **Reconnect** to resume. Your settings and history are kept.

Click **Disconnect** to remove a connection. Anything that relies on it, like applying plans or a running Autopilot, stops working until you reconnect.
