1. Share access with the Converge Team
a) Share admin access
Before you start
❓ Why do I need to give Admin access?
For total hands-off onboarding, we need to be able to turn off the existing Facebook-Shopify integration. This is only possible if we have admin access.Note: If this is too sensitive for you, we can also onboard you with limited access following the steps here. We will need to jump in a short call with us, so do ping your Converge representative if you want to onboard this way.
📌 Note for agencies
For implementation, we need admin access to the account from the ecommerce store itself. Admin access to the agency account is insufficient.

Go to your Meta Business account and click
Settings
in the left-bottom corner. -
Navigate to
People
and click onAdd

Fill in

Choose Full Control >
Manage

Give Manage Pixels scope to all of your Pixels and click on
Next

b) Share limited access
Before you start

If you want a complete hands-off onboarding, we will need admin access. For that approach, follow the steps here.

Contact your Converge Representative in Slack to continue the onboarding.
2. Turning off existing Meta connections
If you have already set up the Converge Meta Connection, you will want to make sure that all other tracking methods are turned off. Not doing so will lead to double tracking and over-attribution.
a) Turning off the Shopify Sales Channel Integration

Navigate in your Shopify Admin Dashboard to Sales Channels.

Click on Facebook & Instagram.

Navigate to the Settings tab in the Facebook & Instagram sales channel and click on “Change” next under the Share Data section.

Flip the switch off.

After the switch has been flipped off, press Save.

Verify that it now says Data sharing is off.
