An introduction to the Pinterest Ad Platform Datasource
Set up the Marketing Data Source

(Days after click/engagement/view) Conversion window. -
Navigate to the Marketing Sources Tab in your Converge dashboard.

Click on Connect a new ad platform and name your ad platform sync: e.g
Pinterest Ads | {Pinterest Ads Account ID}

Select Pinterest from the drop-down list, and log in with your Pinterest Ads Account.

Once the Pinterest account has been linked, you can select your Pinterest Ads Account.

After pressing create your Pinterest Ads metrics will stream into Converge.
Set up your Converge Tracking Parameters

Navigate to your Pinterest Business Manager.

Navigate to the ad which you will set up tracking as follows:

In your Campaigns Reporting Table, click on the pencil Icon at the left-hand side of the ad name.

Scroll down to the Ads - Set Up section and modify the Destination URL to include the right tracking parameters as follows:

If your Destination URL used to be
https://mywebsite.com
, then after adding the tracking parameters your Destination URL would look like this: -
Repeat steps 2-4 for every ad you run (including new ads that you will run in the future).

Overview Report
Overview Report
The Attribution Overview Report provides a high-level snapshot of your ad performance, including efficiency and engagement metrics.
Metric | Description |
---|---|
Ad Spend | The total amount of money spent on your Pinterest ads. |
ROAS | The attributed revenue generated for every unit of currency spent on Pinterest ads. |
CTR | The average percentage of people who clicked on your Pinterest ad after seeing it. |
CPA | The average cost associated with actions from your Pinterest ads. |
CPC | The average cost per click on your Pinterest ads. |
CPM | The average cost per thousand impressions of your Pinterest ads. |
Conversions | The number of Pinterest-attributed purchases that happened because of your Pinterest ads. |
Clicks | The total number of clicks on your Pinterest ads. |
Impressions | The number of times your Pinterest ads were on-screen. |

The Channels Report tab provides a detailed comparison of performance metrics across advertising channels, campaigns, ad sets, and ads, helping you understand the most effective elements.

Revenue | The total revenue generated as attributed by Pinterest to Pinterest ads. |
